Yes, it doesn’t matter which network you’re using .Just make sure your Yas number is in the device when registering the App and there after you can use the App with any network.

The customer can download the App by visiting their App store or by clicking on the link that will be sent to them via SMS or visit out Yas Website to download the App

The application can take a couple of minutes depending on the speed of your internet connection.

No. Normal Mixx charges will apply. Data service through Yas will not be charged when using the Mixx Super App.

There are no extra charges for the customer to download the Mixx Super App. It’s normal charges used in downloading any other App.

The application can either be in Swahili or English, the user has an option of changing it any time in the App itself.

Yes, you can save and delete at any time. The application gives you a choice of saving the reference each time you perform a transaction and with a Description box for every transaction you do.

The app uses the latest security feature to protect you as the consumer, but we would like to remind our customers of the importance of never sharing your PIN with anybody, and to note that Yas staff will never require you to provide us with your PIN.

Yes, you can continue using both the *150*01# short code and the Mixx Super App.

How is the process of purchasing airtime/package?

The minimum airtime purchase is TSh100, and maximum is TSh50,000.

There is no cost when you purchase airtime through Mixx by Yas

Customers may confirm their airtime balance by dialing *103# for English version or *102# and *102*00# in Swahili version or by checking through Mixx by Yas Super App

Who can register?

Any customer owning a motor vehicle is eligible to apply for this type of Insurance. 

Motor insurance covers the customer for a period of 1 year from the date Insurance was bought. 

No Charges apply when registering with Motor Insurance.

Premium will be paid via Mixx by Yas upon purchase of the policy. 

The new electronic system of motor vehicle insurance service does not provide stickers; all your information will be available online. 

The policy limit depends on the loss suffered as stated in terms and conditions for this insurance policy

Customer will not be covered if terms and conditions will not be adhered. 

Yes, the insurance contract can be renewed upon the needs of the customer and after the expiry of the one-year contractual period. 

In case of reporting any claims; The customer should dial *150*01# select (7): Financial Services, select (3): Bima, select (2): Motor Insurance and there after select (3): Claims and follow the instructions to log in your incident for claiming process to start.

What is Nivushe Plus?

Mixx only offers loans to selected customers who actively use services like airtime, data, SMS, bill payments and Mixx  transactions. You will get an SMS when you qualify. For those who are not qualified to get a loan, for them to qualify in future, they will need to use more Yas and Mixx  services & transactions

Dial *150*01# select 7 for Financial Services then select Loans then Nivushe Plus on your Yas sim-card or through Mixx Super App select Financial Services select Loans then select Nivushe Plus for you to Request for a loan. You will need to accept loan Terms & Conditions prior taking a loan with the specified payment period and enter the amount of money you want to take as a loan within your loan limit and then enter your PIN to complete the transaction.

If you get a message that says you don’t qualify, you will need to use more Yas and Mixx services & transactions.

Nivushe Plus offers loans from a minimum of Tsh 1,000. How much you can get depends on how you use your Mixx  account and how you use other Yas services like airtime, data, and SMS. Each customer is granted their own limit according to their score.

You can get loans for 1- 90 days. The payment will be taken out of your Mixx account at the end of the term you choose.

The fee is different for each customer and each loan. Fees range between 9.2% to 25%. You will be shown how much your fee will be before you take the loan. Customers with good habits (like paying and transferring with their Mixx account and always repaying their loan on time) get lower fees.

To repay your Nivushe Plus make sure you have enough money in your Mixx account on the day your loan is due and Nivushe Plus will initiate an auto strike from your Mixx wallet. If you prefer to pay early or late, dial *150*01# and select 7 for Financial Services select Loans then Nivushe Plus then 2 for “Repay Loan” or you can use Mixx Super App select Financial Services select loans then Nivushe Plus the select “Repay Loan“. You can then choose whether you want to pay the whole loan, or only part of the loan and enter your PIN to confirm.

  • For early payment, Dial *150*01# select 7 for Financial Services and select Loans, Nivushe Plus and select 2 for “Repay Loan” or
  • Through Mixx Super App select Financial Services select loans select Nivushe Plus then select “Repay Loan” You can then choose whether you want to pay the whole loan, or only part of the loan and enter your PIN to confirm.

If you do not pay your loan on the due date you will have to pay a penalty fee of up to 7%- 10% of the outstanding balance. You will get an SMS to remind you to pay before the due date. If you pay late your next loan may be smaller, and if you often pay your loans late you could be removed from the Nivushe Plus service.

It’s always better to pay at least part of the loan when you can, because this will keep your Late Payment fee smaller.

Use Yas and Mixx services & transactions more often, and make sure you repay your loans on time. The loan amounts you get are decided by your use of Yas services like airtime, data, SMS, bill payments and Mixx transactions and by looking at whether you repay your loans on time, every time.

If you’ve paid one of your loans late, or if you’re using Mixx or other Yas services less than you used to. If the message notification you get is that you don’t qualify this means that you need to use Yas and Mixx services regularly to be qualified in the future and pay loan on time.

If the message notification is “you have reached your daily loan limit”. Please try after 24 hours for you to enjoy the Nivushe Plus service.

Nivushe Plus is a better version of Yas Nivushe , they are both managed by Yas. The main difference is financial services provider i.e with Nivushe Absa and Jumo were the only providers- while with Nivushe Plus we will have more than one FSP’s which are Azania bank, Letshego Bank, CRDB Bank , DCB Bank and Mwanga Hakika Bank, therefore we will be able to serve more customers.

How much does an Agency Line cost?

No, the Agency Line is free, all you need is some initial capital.

To get instant cooperation, dial 101 through your agent line. Service but when you receive a call from 100, please pick up. This is our customer service team.
The providers include Super-Agents, Banks, and Aggregators.
Mistakes in transferring money happen, but it is important to call customer care immediately on 101 for agents and 100 for regular customers. If the money sent is not released, MixxbyYas may return the money to the sender.

Most of the time, the SMS confirmation comes within a few minutes after making the transaction, sometimes there is a network problem that can cause the SMS not to be returned or delayed, if the confirmation is delayed by more than 10 minutes, you should call customer care on 101 for agents and 100 for regular customers.

When you see that the network is down, please avoid doing any activities until the network is fine.
The first thing you need to do is call customer care on 101 for agents and 100 for regular customers and report that the line has been lost. The operator will ask the customer several questions to verify ownership of the line and after verification, the operator will close the account.
An agent can send from 3,000,000/= down at a time to a client. An agent can transfer any amount to the recipients based on their capital or turnover in their area. An agent can hold the amount of money based on the level/tier assigned to him, the minimum level is to hold up to 20 million from Retail-Agent wallet.
What is Kikoba?

Kikoba is a financial service run by Mixx  in partnership with TCB Bank that allows you to run savings accounts for groups of friends / family or VICOBA. This product will focus on providing enabling environment for small micro-based groups to operate in real-time to ensure cost effective, security and transparency among members and a group in general. This service will be available through Mixx  USSD menu. Customers will dial *150*01# then click Financial Services then select Savings then select KIKOBA

KIKOBA consists of two Accounts which are;

i. Friends/ Family:

This is a special account for small groups, it could be family or friends who intend to contribute money and later share it over time.

FRIENDS/FAMILY MENU: Group 1> 1. Contribute> 2. Balance > 3. Requests > 4. Members> 5. Transfer> 6. Verify> 7. Approve funds> 8. Regulation

ii. VICOBA / VSLA:

This is a special account for groups with a wide range of members and with a system for selling and buying shares, savings, Social Contributions and Loans. These groups include VICOBA / Village Saving and Loans Associations (VSLA) / Community Banks (CB) / Savings and Investment Community (SILC)

VICOBA MENU: Group 1> 1. Buy Shares> 2. Return Loan> 3. Community> 4. Penalty> 5. Balance> 6. Transfer / Verify / Approve Money> 7. Membership/Regulation > 8. Request

This service can be access by Yas customers via Mixx USSD menu *150*01# and other MNO’s can access it via *150*21#

No fee will be charged for withdrawing money from their Mixx account to a group account or withdrawing money from a group account to a group member.

There are no any fees incurred by the customer sending money from his/her Mixx wallet to KIKOBA group saving account or from group account to group members wallet.

Each group in KIKOBA must have three leaders who are:

  1. CHAIRMAN: He is the founder and moderator of the group. He has the power to add any member and to elect other leaders, he is the one who sets the level of buying shares, interest, penalties. He is also the last person to approve the transfer of payment to any member through the Approval funds option from the Kikoba menu.
  2. SECRETARY: Added by the group chairman and initiates all payments and Loans to other members by selecting Transfer money from the Kikoba menu. He/she can also add members to the group.
  3. TREASURER: Added by the group chairman, he has the authority to verify Payments and Loans offered to members through the Verification of money options on the Kikoba menu. He/she can also add members to the group.

Yes, group members from other network can Join Kikoba as well and conduct their basic activities of the group like share purchase, Loan repayment, Punishment payment among others via *150*21#. However, for them to access leadership functionalist they should join with a Yas number. Since all leaders must be Yas customers.

In the event of a dispute with the group members due to a disagreement over the group’s finances the group members will be required to report to the police where they will be given a special permit from the police and submit to Mixx to prevent the group’s funds from flowing. Upon receipt of Police clearance Mixx funds and group members will be required to reconsider their police differences and obtain another permit to allow Mixx to open their group funds.

In the group account there will be no limit to receiving transactions, but in the case of a group member he will be allowed to receive or make transactions according to his or her (Tier) Mixx transaction limits.

The KIKOBA group must have at least five members. To create an KIKOBA account Each group should have three leaders i.e Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer. Group Leaders or signatories must be Yas network customers and Mixx Registered.

When the Customer opens or joins the KIKOBA Account Customer information will be sent from Mixx to TCB bank. This information is Client Name, Telephone Number, Gender and Age of Client and all others that will support to open and process the request, Thus before opening or joining an KIKOBA Account the customer will be required to accept the Terms and Conditions.

Funds will be transferred through three phases in the Kikoba menu.

a. The secretary shall initiate the process of payment from the group account to the member

b. The treasurer shall review the payment, and the chairman of the group shall approve the payment then the funds will be transferred from the group account to the intended member

c. In addition to these three leaders, group members can change the approval system to involve members to participate to allow this payment can be changed through the group menu > group rules by selecting >a type of approval > leaders and members will then vote by choosing 2/8.request to accept this new approval system.
